Book of Remembrance er et performativt bokverk og utstilling laget av Imi Maufe og Hilde Kramer for det kunstneriske forskningsprosjektet Illuminating the Non-Representable ved Fakultet for kunst, musikk og design ved Universitetet i Bergen. Verket illustrerer og refererer til en begivenhet som fant sted i Litzmannstadt-gettoen i den polske byen Łódź mellom 5. og 12. september 1942, kjent som Wielka Szpera (generelt portforbud).

Storetveit kirke 7. sep. 19:00 (utvidet program med et opptak av Chaim Rumkowskis tale «Gi meg barna deres» på 4.september 1942 fortolket av Helge Jordal og musikalske verk framført av Jostein Aarvik på orgel og sopransang av Eli-Johanne Rønnekleiv.

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE is a performative book work and exhibition created by Imi Maufe and Hilde Kramer for the artistic research project Illuminating the Non-Representable at the Faculty of Art, Music and Design at the University of Bergen. The work illustrates and refers to an event that took place in the Litzmannstadt ghetto in the city of Łódź, Poland, between 5th and 12th, September 1942, known as Wielka Szpera (general curfew). The project will take place in Bergen 80 years since the Wielka Szpera, 5th—12th September 2022.

Bergen Public Library 6th Sept. 13:00—14:00

Storetveit Church 7th Sept. 19:00 (extended program with a recording of Chaim Rumkowski’s speech “Give Me Your Children” on 4 September 1942 interpreted by Helge Jordal and musical works performed by Jostein Aarvik on organ and soprano vocals by Eli-Johanne Rønnekleiv.
