In this third installment of our series on how the art world can make sustainable choices we have invited Selina Kahle from the Sustainability in Arts and Culture Network (2N2K Germany e.V.) and the initiative Culture4Climate.
Selina will give a presentation of the organisation and present valuable ideas for artists in choosing a more sustainable approach when it comes to production, transport and materials: «Through self- responsibility, commitment, and the development of sustainable projects, culture can not only contribute to achieving global sustainability goals but also serve as a catalyst for inspiration, awareness and change in our society.»
Selina Kahle holds a Masters in communication and business psychology and is the deputy chair of the Sustainability in Arts and Culture Network (2N2K Germany e.V.). She is a scientific consultant and project lead of the nationwide initiative Culture4Climate. As a doctoral candidate at the University of Potsdam, she actively contributes to the research and development of sustainable solutions in the cultural sector. Selina Kahle has extensive experience in planning and implementing sustainable communication and event projects in Germany and the United Kingdom. The co-founder of the Culture and Agenda 2030 Network, works as a sustainability consultant for institutions in the cultural and creative sector.
